Who invented the condom

The inventor of the condom is unknown, but a sheath that covers and protects the penis
goes back a long way.In ancient Egypt, men wore penis protectors not to prevent disease or pregnancy, but for shielding in war, as decoration, and to show social rank.
In Japan, they wore a covering made of tortoise shell or horn.Condoms sewn from linen were used in fifteenth century when an epidemic of syphilis swept Europe and Asia.
By the eighteenth century, the English were making condoms by hand from the intestines of sheep.
